I'm part of the group that struggles with getting the game to work. After setting it up, I clicked play and reached the Social Club login screen, but the game crashed right away. I’m confused about what to do next. Then I checked the compatibility settings in GTA 5 properties, tried running it as an administrator, but when I booted it up it said GTA5.exe not found. I’ve reinstalled from Steam three times without success, and changed my drives twice too. I’m not sure what else to try except wait for a fix.

Just pulled this from his profile: CPU i7 920, motherboard evga, x58 RAM 6Gb, DDR3 1600 GPU, Evga 780, case HAF 932, storage WD 600 GB, PSU enermax 1050W, display(s), Asus 24... cooling a old Corsair closed loop, first version, unsure about keyboard Corsiar, mouse Razer, sound headphones, operating system—Blah, win 8.1 and it’s not bad at all, once you get the hang of it.

I took out my gamepad controller and the game ran smoothly. It looks like the "EZFRD64.DLL" was the issue causing the crash. Appreciate the details I need to fix it.

It seems like the issue might be related to the DLL handling the USB controller. I took out the game pad and it worked perfectly, playing for a while without problems. It appears the system is running smoothly on my Xeon power rock rig.

It was really unfortunate that the issue was so minor. My $18 million garage packed with stunning Xbox 360 cars vanished after I made the transfer. I’ve had to deal with R* pushing a broom handle up my back after purchasing their game. It’s been a real challenge.
