Mint is running smoothly but the audio output sounds very flat. The PulseAudio equalizer was set up via the software manager, yet it doesn’t appear to be functioning properly—neither the presets nor my custom settings seem to improve the sound quality. Additionally, the audio boost feature isn’t helping; the volume feels significantly lower than on my Windows laptop. All updates are applied and required codecs are present. Could you provide more details or try adjusting the equalizer settings?

How does it compare to previous versions? Have you tried using an equalizer before? The audio characteristics should remain consistent across different operating systems. Could you describe your speaker or headphone configuration?

It's flat without any bass or treble compared to my Windows laptop with B&O sound. I also have Mint on a mini PC using PulseAudio, which is functioning well, though I lost track of how it was set up and it caused problems when I first adjusted the equalizer. I'm connecting headphones directly into the motherboard output jack.

Use EasyEffects from Synaptic Package Mander or install it via apt. Apply the perfect eq preset shared by JackHack. Open EasyEffects, go to Presets tab, click Load next to your installed preset. In the Pipewire tab, verify EasyEffects is using the right output device.

It seems the setup is now functioning properly. Pipewire was already installed, but users noted incompatibility with PulseAudio. EasyEffects is now working smoothly with PipeWire without any problems.
