Hey everyone, just wanted to ask something related to DDU messing with my PC. BAD_SYSTEM_CONFIG_INFO Context: I upgraded to a 4070 and it was all good. Then a friend suggested "Why not use DDU and just do a fresh install of drivers?" I was like why not. I first thought it somehow broke the GPU itself or the display drivers, then I restart and I get a few brief moments of display and restore point makes it more "stable" but still lose display as Windows restarts itself it seems . I just want to confirm if I irreversibly bricked something hardware wise or just a simple fresh Windows install will fix this? Thanks for any info about this

I also attempted a reset via Cloud, but the issue persists with display problems or crashes. I’m worried the same outcome might occur if I reinstall Windows normally.

I can’t directly connect to the Windows Device Manager, but I can guide you through checking the drivers yourself. Look for the video card in the list, note its version and date, and compare it with the ones installed. If needed, you can manually select the correct driver to ensure proper functionality.

Hello, I'm the creator of DDU and verify that DDU won't damage hardware in that way—it's different. You might want to re-seat the GPU/memory, turn off all overclocking settings, and reset the BIOS to its default configuration. The most serious risk with DDU is a broken windows installation.
