I recently upgraded my Ryzen 3 3100x to a Ryzen 5 5600x. After installation, thermal issues disappeared, and my PC started working normally. However, running Elden Ring smoothly at 50-60fps was a challenge, and opening Elven Ring caused crashes and reboots. Initially, we assumed the issue was outdated drivers, but updating helped little. We reinstalled the CPU and tried a new motherboard, but power supply concerns persisted. My friend suggested a new board due to insufficient power delivery. The CPU itself doesn't receive software or driver updates. You need to update or flash the motherboard's BIOS (firmware). Can you access the motherboard BIOS and verify the version being installed? Make sure it's not the Steel Legend model. AsRock offers 12 distinct B450 motherboard options.
You switched your motherboard to an Asus B550M-A but it’s stuck on the boot screen with the delete prompt or F2. The restart didn’t help, and nothing seems to be working. Try removing the coin, taking out the SSD, and starting fresh—see if it boots normally.
