Problems with Asrock Z370 Tai Chi M.2 ports
Hello, regarding my Asrock Z370 Tai Chi Motherboard, I have two identical M.2 drives. The only port that recognizes them is m.2_3; neither of the other two ports shows them in the BIOS or Windows Drive Manager. I've tried using both drives in all ports, but they only work in m.2_3. I've unplugged all SATA devices to rule out conflicts. My WD SN770 2TB M.2 drives BIOS is set to 4.20 and has been reset to defaults. It seems I might need to return one of the drives, as it looks like the board could be faulty. The fact that two ports fail is unusual. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Shu
M2_1, SATA3_0 and SATA3_1 use the same lanes. When any is active, the rest stop working. * M2_2, SATA3_4 and SATA3_5 also share lanes. If one is used, the others become inactive. * When M2_3 has a SATA device connected, SATA3_3 is turned off. You need to ensure no SATA connections are present, and disconnect the motherboard plugs too.
