Hi everyone, I've noticed this problem a lot in the forums and I'm hoping someone can assist in resolving it. My system specs are: Gigabyte Aorus Master X870E (BIOS F5b), AMD 9950X3D CPU, Skill Z5 RAM 2 x 32GB, 2x32GB in A2 & B2 slots. The PC started normally without any issues with the AMD9800X3D. After purchasing the 9950X3D, I received a C5 boot code error and it won't boot at all when using RAM in A2 and B2. It only boots with one stick in the A2 slot. I suspect a RAM problem, so I bought another pair of G Skill Z5 RAM 2 x 32GB 32GB F5-6000J3238G32GX2-TZ5NR. Still facing the same C5 boot error even when using both sticks. I've cleared the CMOS without success, tried reseating the RAM and CPU, but nothing works. I'm starting to think there might be an issue with the CPU or memory controller, though all chipset drivers and BIOS are up to date. The RAM is in gigabytes QVL, and the motherboard seems fine as it works perfectly with the AMD9800X3D. Thanks!

There isn't an official list of CPU support, but the Series 9000x3D should be compatible as long as the BIOS version is updated to f2. Would you like me to check if your motherboard supports this update? Also, since this chip is quite new, reaching out to Gigabyte's support might be helpful. If the motherboard doesn't have support yet, it's best to wait. Good luck!

I've seen similar issues pop up in other discussions. I fixed one misaligned pin on the CPU socket by straightening it without damaging it. It makes me think this might be more widespread than it seems. Could it be a design issue with the processor itself, something that affects many users who don't install or seat their CPUs properly?
