Problems with 7600x and 6000mhz DDR5 memory
I recently upgraded to 7600x and purchased a Kingston KF560C40-8 2x8GB 6000MHz CL40 kit because everyone mentioned new Ryzen models are optimized for 6000MHz. I’ve been facing issues with my 6000MHz XMP profile. It’s not officially expo rated, but it should work since I load it from the memory profile directly. The DOCP profile is set for 6000MHz, yet the memory isn’t behaving well. I run Prime95 and DHCI Memtest, both reporting errors. A 5600MHz version seems stable. My question is who to blame—reviewers, the memory kit, the CPU, or do I need to adjust it manually? I think at first it worked fine for a day, but then programs started crashing, so I investigated further. My Ryzen 7600X, Kingston KF560C40-8, Hynix M-Dies, ASUS TUF gaming, B650 Plus.
Check the motherboard QVL to confirm your setup is compatible with the board.
I aimed for a smooth experience with this G.Skill kit, and it performed perfectly at DDR5-6000 with its EXPO profile. It was included with all reviewers on launch, giving me confidence it would meet expectations—so far, no problems. It’s also listed on my QVL board.
You're wondering why your RAM isn't showing up even though it matches the specs. It's possible the exact RGB model isn't recognized, so you might need to try a different kit or contact support for assistance. The chipset alone doesn't guarantee compatibility—make sure the hardware matches exactly. If unsure, consider returning the RAM for a replacement or consulting a specialist.
It might be due to incompatibility or a faulty memory controller in the CPU. Consider swapping in RAM from the QVL catalog; if that doesn’t resolve the issue, the problem likely lies with the CPU itself.
