Problems with 3900X and H100i devices?
Hey team. Looks like everything seems fine with the new setup except a few points. The BIOS says the fans spin at about 3600 RPM, which is pretty high, and HWinfo shows it differently on "3." I’m trying to figure out what the actual fan speed is on the AIO. Also, CPU usage in W10 is listed as 1%, but when it’s idle it never drops below 3 GHz. If the 3900X is running at 3.8GHz and stays above 3 GHz even at idle, that’s unusual. I’m wondering how to get it to run under 1GHz in idle like the 6700K does. Also, are these temperatures acceptable during idle for the 3900X? Picture 2 should clarify this.
Corsair's tools tend to be precise when measuring fan and pump speeds on the H100i, but avoid using them for other performance data. The Task Manager is generally inconsistent, especially with Ryzen processors. Make sure your chipset drivers are updated and apply the Balanced power plan.
Upgrade BIOS and chipset drivers. Use Ryzen Master to monitor temperatures and idle usage. Most other programs can't keep up with Ryzen unless it's running at full performance.
You should replace the old files instead of uninstalling them.
