I'm working on upgrading several PCs from Windows 7 to 10. For most of them, I'm encountering issues similar to what's described. Microsoft suggests it might be a driver problem, but some Dell OptiPlex and Lenovo ThinkCentres show warnings about graphics card compatibility. Despite this, many machines have successfully upgraded using the MS Media Creation Tool without problems. In the cases where errors appear, I've verified updates are complete, drivers and third-party software are current, disk scans run, antivirus is cleared, and defrag runs. The only pattern I notice is that affected devices usually have a mix of installed applications. A clean solution would be formatting and reinstalling, but that's challenging across 100+ units. I've tried using the media creation tool directly, along with DVD and USB drives, but still face the same error. Online searches show many people experiencing this, so there are likely various workarounds available.

Absolutely, just reinstall it. Swapping SSDs while you're at it works well with WDT and MDS. It’s straightforward if you use the right tools. Is this for a domain? Do you have SCCM or AD in place? How would you handle the deployment process? You’d want an automated system for that many devices.
