Hello, I recently updated my old laptop with a fresh battery, SSD, and thermal paste. It now performs much better than when it was brand new. But I’m facing a strange problem that hasn’t shown up in any guides. After installing the new battery and running several full charge/discharge cycles, the laptop’s battery behaves erratically. During a discharge cycle, it will suddenly power off without warning. When it restarts, it sometimes displays a battery level of 7% even though it was at 80%. It then stays at that low level for hours. This pattern has gotten worse over time. I suspect it might be related to the previous battery, which had a very short lifespan—around 50 minutes—but the new one is lasting several hours. I’m wondering if there’s any software I can try to fix this or if I should just keep using the laptop until it stabilizes. Thanks!
