I'm working on moving this big folder from your WD My Passport Ultra for RMA. The files are probably over 300GB and keep failing because Windows detects long file names. You've tried Vista, 7, and 10, but Macs don’t have the same problem. The source and destination use exFAT, so if you try similar transfers on Linux or macOS, you should be fine. Just make sure the files are properly formatted and consider using a tool that supports large file transfers without name length limits.

You can use Teracopy with features to skip the 255-character limit. It also offers options to ignore already copied files and continue without interruptions.
