You're experiencing issues when installing games on both Epic and Steam. On Steam, it reports a disk write error, while Epic displays an error code IS-IN-FC02-433. Downloading images works without problems, but deleting files triggers error 0X800701B1. The problem seems to occur specifically with your 980 Pro drive. Others have had similar issues—any advice would be appreciated.

If you have a backup disk available for installing Samsung Magician, I would use that and verify the problematic disk first. It seems the issue often arises when the disk becomes completely unreadable due to outdated firmware. This has been highlighted over the past couple of years and is well understood. Since it’s already approaching a read-only state, I’d send the disk back to your vendor for replacement. Their known issue is that they may fail if the firmware isn’t updated promptly. If they can’t assist, reach out to Samsung for a new disk.

Unless you're running a highly aggressive antivirus program, I'd examine what was previously discussed.
