Hi, I tried installing a second M.2 NVMe SSD in my Asus B450I mini ITX motherboard. According to the manual, it should work with my Ryzen 3600 processor. After reassembly, my PC freezes at the ASUS "press del enter bios etc..." screen with the boot LED lit. I’ve removed all drives and peripherals, cleared CMOS using jumper pins, taken out the battery, used only one RAM stick (both sticks), and even took the board out completely to test inside the case. Nothing changed except the frozen screen appearing. A friend has a spare B450 board and power supply for me to try. I’m not very experienced, so any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Also, I noticed a small scratch on the back of the motherboard (see photos), but I don’t think it’s causing the issue since it doesn’t seem to affect any connections or traces. Thanks for your help!

You might be mistaken about the default behavior. The system could still route data to bios even without installed drives, depending on settings and configurations.
