I recently replaced the standard laptop SSD in my Zephyrus G14 2021 with a Samsung 990 EVO 2TB and installed Windows 10 from a USB drive without issues. I downloaded all drivers from the provided link: https://rog.asus.com/laptops/rog-zephyru..._download/. After that, I started installing Steam, Armoury Crate, Discord, Spotify, etc. Each installer would open but never finish, hanging indefinitely. The Task Manager would take ages to load, and the file manager would freeze completely. Sometimes Opera would launch instantly, other times it wouldn’t respond at all. Clicking anything felt unresponsive—mouse moved normally but no apps reacted. The Control + Alt + Delete shortcut didn’t work either. Overall, everything became extremely sluggish. Occasionally the keyboard worked fine, but eventually nothing responded at all, and even after a hard restart while holding the power button, the PC would boot up normally. BIOS recognized everything, but resetting the PC in Windows kept looping forever. It’s really frustrating.
