I've gathered numerous threads, each offering varied solutions that didn't suit my needs or remain unresolved. I've constructed several computers and possess solid knowledge in various areas, though the BIOS remains one I've experimented extensively with. I followed the manufacturer's M-Flash instructions for an update. After powering it back on once the update finished, the screen displayed "Diagnosing your PC" then "Attempting repairs." The repair attempts repeatedly failed. I can access the BIOS but not Windows. I observed my boot device changed from what it was before the migration—previously using that drive, now a new one has been used without issues. I couldn't identify which drive to select. One suggestion was to reset the CMOS. That worked: the correct drive appeared, yet an error appeared stating the OS couldn't load due to verification failure. This is where I'm stuck. I managed to boot after disabling that verification option in startup settings. From what I understand, this step should turn off when I restart. Help would be greatly appreciated. Summary: - Updated BIOS per manufacturer guidelines (confirmed correct version) - Restarted post-update and saw "Diagnosing your PC" then "Attempting Repairs" at startup - Repair attempts were unsuccessful - Boot drive changed after update (appears to default to original) - CMOS reset resolved the issue - New error occurred about signature verification - Disabling the check lets me boot Windows but should revert on restart. System Specs: MSI PRO Z690-A WIFI DDR4 (BIOS v7D25v1C, 5/19/23) EVGA 2080Ti 64GB G.Skill Trident Z RGB at 3600Mhz 12700k No OC Windows 11, version 22H2 with all updates applied.

You can turn off driver signatures using various approaches. If you've already tried one of the methods mentioned, consider checking the alternative options at https://windowsreport.com/windows-11-dri...forcement/. Regarding the boot sequence, restart in Setup (BIOS) and adjust the boot order by moving other disks aside or removing them entirely. This won't block access to the drive in Windows, but it will prevent the system from booting from it.

Thanks for your feedback. I followed Windows RE to resolve the issue, as it was the only option available then. Regarding Fortect, it can be useful depending on your needs—worth considering if you're dealing with specific hardware or performance concerns.

We don’t recommend external optimization tools. They often create more issues than they fix. Windows provides everything you need to resolve most system problems.
