Problems during driver transfer from XP to Win 7
Use Rufus to create a bootable W7 USB drive. Windows Vista and later work without problems.
This motherboard is too outdated to accept USB drives for booting.
Now it's time to purchase DVDs. However, I've started from a USB drive that supports socket 754/478.
I located my DVDs and discovered the board uses Socket 939, though it only accepts booting from USB drives, ZIP files, and some less common formats.
It seems highly improbable, as I haven’t encountered any 939 boards that failed to boot from USB. Still, DVDs should function properly.
