During the Zen 2 days, it was found that many AM4 boards delivered excessive voltage to the CPU. Ryzen CPUs can reach up to 1.4-1.5V, though they aren’t built to maintain that level long-term. A steady 1.45V is more typical now, and while prolonged high voltage can harm the CPU over time, this situation has largely resolved and hasn’t occurred recently.

That's not very helpful, just keep under 1.45v and it'll be fine, though the CPU won't run anymore because it's been offline since the 9th generation.

The worries about Ryzen losing performance at lower stock levels appear exaggerated. Der8auer recently posted a video detailing extended tests on Ryzen 5000 chips running at 1.45V, revealing that degradation remains unlikely even after thousands of hours. Among the three tested units, just one needed a voltage boost to keep stability, and even then only a modest 40mV adjustment was required. The simulation mimicked roughly five years of intense overclocking, which makes sense if you're planning to slightly raise voltages later.

I don’t focus on CPU overclocking. The only adjustment I ever made was 2.2 @ 1.38 on my integrated graphics, but I replaced it right away once I got the GPU. Now I rely solely on MSI Afterburner.

I own a solid air cooler, but switching to an AIO model means I’ll need to keep track of my components online. If you’re interested in checking them out, it’s totally fine—just make sure to log in so you can review everything.

This concern relates to a specific design limitation. There isn't a scenario where a case isn't designed for air cooling. Even with an all-in-one cooler, some airflow management is still required to handle heat from the radiator. If you're referring to limited vertical space for a tower cooler, that's acceptable.

got the antec p120 from a meshify case, but the size was too limited for my GPU. I’m looking for the lian li o11 since stock options weren’t available. My current air cooler is a phanteks ph-tc14pe, and under load temps are hovering around 70°C in the antec—compared to 60-65°C in the meshify version with better airflow. Switching to an aio setup would help, as it lets me mount my GPU without blocking the cooler and keeps idle temps lower. I plan to upgrade to a 5800x in June, though I’m not overly concerned unless temps climb above 85 or reach 90°C. In the meshify case, idle temps were around 30°C, now they’re near 50°C. I changed the fan layout so the single 120 fan connects straight to the cooler, while the back panel fans handle exhaust and the bottom three intake for the GPU. Testing with smoke confirmed a hot spot near the cooler and a feeding area at the rear GPU end.
