It seems like you're facing an issue that requires a compatible Ethernet or Wi-Fi adapter.

No drivers available for Linux? If I could install them on my phone and transfer them via USB, would that be possible? Would it actually work?

I wasn't able to reach the drivers via the internet. If that works, you might try USB tethering to connect your phone’s internet to the computer and install the driver then. I’d advise against downloading packages individually since it can cause compatibility problems.

Great question! You can confirm you're connected by checking the network interface status or using tools like `ifconfig` (Debian 7) or `ip a`. Alternatively, run `tcpdump` or `netstat` to verify the tether connection.

You could simply send a ping to Google's DNS server at 8.8.8.8 or look up your IP address using the ip addr command.

The atheros AR81 driver is now included in the kernel and should work properly. The command shows network and ethernet devices listed.

The system isn’t detecting the connected network port. Although your phone appears online and powered, it doesn’t display any USB device linked through the tether.
