I attempted to reinstall the OS using a flash drive with the Windows 8.1 installer after replacing the motherboard from an MSI gaming 7 to an ASUS Sabertooth Z97 Mark 2. The issue is that the system refuses to install on any drive, citing an MBR partition table and stating EFI systems only support GPT disks. What should I do next?

Have you attempted removing every volume from the particular disk before installing Windows?

It means the partition is an OEM reserved type with a capacity of 450 MB, which typically indicates it's a standard or factory-approved storage area.

Using the delete and extend options in the picture above^^^ ensure that just one drive (the one you're installing to) is linked to the PC.

Turning off your PC and disconnecting the Drive will erase all data on that drive. Deleting it afterward will permanently remove everything stored there. Extending the drive won’t affect this process—it only changes how long you can use it before needing a replacement.

Similar to the image shown, the disk where you install Windows might include partitions such as Disk X partition 0, Disk X partition 1, Disk X partition 2 (recovery), Disk X partition 3 (oem reserved), Disk T partition 0, and Disk T partition 1. For Disk X, do not format the volumes 0 through 3, and use the delete buttons.
