I possess a gigabyte Aorus Z690 Elite AX DDR5 chipset with the latest BIOS. When I enable XMP, it causes the system to black out. After roughly ten minutes it prompts for optimized settings or restarts into BIOS, which only boots with RAM running at 4800MHz CPU i9-12900K.

It seems the RAM wasn't properly evaluated. Based on my experience, Oloy Ram usually comes in discounted prices, and they don't really perform them thoroughly, so I wouldn't trust their advertised specs. It's likely just misleading marketing—it probably won't exceed 4800MHz. Of course, it might be due to the CPU's memory controller or the motherboard, as I've heard some negative feedback about Gigabyte on the Z690 platform, though most issues tend to involve RAM.

had no issues with DDR4 from oloy, probably just one of the challenges on a new system. I noticed many forums where people shared similar problems across different brands and boards. If it’s a board issue, an update might resolve it in the future. If it’s a RAM problem, you might start saving for a better option.

Up to overclocking isn't assured but it's definitely a fresh platform. We're still figuring out the best RAM options (possibly). Are there any Samsung DDR5 "b-dies" available? : D

I managed to achieve 5000MHz posting on a 5600MHz rated RAM module using the XMP profile 1 for DRAM. Voltage settings: VDD 1.45, VDDQ 1.45. Advanced memory voltages configured via PMIC. Everything else set automatically. I have an Asus Z690-P with four Corsair CL36 5600MHz RAM sticks installed on an i9-12900K processor.

I encountered a delay getting back to this because the RGB on my GPU block failed and I was working through it. The issue is with Samsung modules, and my BIOS now suggests improving compatibility for DDR5 5600MHz 8G. I have four sticks at that speed.
