Have you explored your ISP's DNS servers? Back then, certain IPS systems could prevent direct access to root DNS servers.

I've checked again and used various DNS servers, but the problem remains. It sometimes works for weeks before it stops. Let me know if you need further help.

I see, I checked the picture and I’m still unsure about the issue. It seems to have changed since I last used PfSense.

It seems you need to reboot either PFSense or your cable modem, and after that everything functions properly.

Have you attempted simply navigating to Status -> Filter Reload? If unsuccessful, modify the WAN Interface by toggling a setting repeatedly to indicate a change, then save and apply. This will prompt pfSense to restart the WAN interface. Should that fail, it may point to an issue with the cable modem or Ethernet port. Also, are the Interfaces, Service Status, and Traffic graph widgets visible on your Dashboard? They can assist in identifying any malfunctions.
