Details: Mobo model ASUS M11AD, CPU Intel Core i5 4400S, 2x G.Skill 8GB DDR3 RAM, GPU EVGA GTX 970. When I attempt to activate XMP Profile #1, I save and restart but receive a message indicating no changes were applied. I navigated through advanced settings without locating any XMP-related entries. The only reference I found was vague. Edit: I'm trying to raise the clock from 1333 to 1600MHZ.

Purchase the ch341a and flash its BIOS to the standard h81m-a. It seems you have a damaged BIOS version, but since the board supports socketed BIOS, it’s straightforward—remove the chip, insert it into the ch341a, and use an ASAP programmer to upload your desired BIOS (any BIOS works). If crossflashing fails and the board stops responding, simply reprogram it with the original BIOS (don’t forget to save your current one beforehand) to avoid damaging it. There’s no chance of harming the board unless you use a faulty BIOS like a Z97 chip.
