Hey, your recent changes look promising. The 8400MHz RAM performed well in memory tests, passing multiple passes with no issues. Your 8600MHz setup also showed good results. You mentioned DDR5 has minimal impact on Cinebench, which is true, but speed still makes a difference. When you increased to 8600MHz, your OC score improved slightly from around 43800 to 44800. The jump in performance seems modest, possibly due to other factors like CPU or system configuration. Booting at 8800MHz caused some errors, so further adjustments are needed. Keep experimenting!

Due to constraints on the CPU memory controller's performance, exceeding certain limits causes it to halve its speed (Gear 2). It's usually better to stay within the range where speed matches the frequency (1:1 or 1:2 for DDR5), otherwise you might drop to a slower setting like Gear 4 (1:4).

I'll update my Aida64 membership and thoroughly test it out!

Does that look off?

It appears to operate smoothly in Gear 2 for both scenarios. The memory controller speed is half the DRAM speed, which aligns with expectations—8600 MT/s and 8800 MT/s match accordingly. How frequently were you testing the benchmarks? The gap between 44,800 and 43,800 is just 2%, which is likely within acceptable limits. It might simply mean memory bandwidth isn’t the bottleneck, so boosting memory speed further won’t help either way.
