Problema con el BIOS.
Problema con el BIOS.
I finished assembling my new PC last night. I haven’t installed Windows yet. The main issue is that after turning it on, everything seems to work fine—fans spin, GPU runs, and the cooler operates—but the BIOS screen stays visible only briefly before vanishing. My monitor shows “no HDMI source detected,” even though the PC is still active. I haven’t performed any BIOS setup or moved forward because of this problem. For context, I’m using a Gigabyte B550M S2H board, connected HDMI to the GPU and peripherals via different cables, and checked the “leave one stick of RAM in” setting, but it still doesn’t resolve the issue. Anyone have any advice?
Check for irregularities in the CPU and motherboard temperatures within the BIOS settings.
No anomalies detected. CPU temperature was approximately 37°C previously. Further verification of memory temperature is needed, and I'll follow up. Note: System temperature reported as memory temp. Updated: Check confirmed, current memory temp is 27°C.
Check if your system includes details such as the CPU and graphics card. Does any cooling fan increase during a black screen?
Absolutely. It would have helped sooner. All the enthusiasts get excited, they keep going even when the bios stops. The CPU is an AMD Ryzen 5600X, GPU is Gainward GTX 1660Ti, motherboard is Gigabyte B550M S2H, SSD is Mushkin MKNSSDTS1TB-D8, Tempest 1TB, RAM is G Skill Ripjaws DDR4-3600MHz (two 8GB), power supply is Corsair CX650M 650W with 80+ Bronze.
Have you attempted to reinsert the motherboard? It might be touching your case if it isn’t secured with the right spacers or if it’s improperly installed, leading to a short circuit.
Attempted to re-seat components again. Experienced identical issues during a raw pre-build run covering CPU, GPU, RAM, and MB. It seems case-mounting might not be the root cause. Will verify and re-test.
I noticed you asked about the new parts and the CPU cooler. Could you clarify which one you're referring to?
Acquired a new GPU, CPU, power supply, and RAM in used condition. They were essentially brand new. Past owners confirmed they functioned flawlessly. The motherboard wasn’t touched by the buyer, being sold as brand-new. The PSU was also brand-new, retaining its protective plastic wrap at purchase. I’m using the included stock cooler with the CPU.
Have you attempted to reset the CMOS on the device? If not, power down your computer and disconnect it from the source, then press these two pins for a short duration (marked CLR_CMOS). You might need a small tool tip to connect the pins and trigger the reset. After completing this, restart the PC as usual.
