I recently changed from a 1660s model to a 6650xt, but installing drivers caused the computer to freeze and then shut down completely. I’ve updated the BIOS, attempted older versions of the software, tried installing from file locations, and even tried safe mode—still nothing works. Just a black screen. Any advice or insights you have would be greatly appreciated.

I also deleted the previous NVIDIA drivers, but I still encounter an error 192 followed by a black screen.

You can identify safe mode easily, yet installing drivers triggers an error about OS 192. That message usually relates to a compatibility problem or a missing component.

What version of Windows are you running—32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64)?

Check your system details and confirm compatibility. The listed graphics card supports AMD Radeon RX 6000 and RX 6600 series, but verify your motherboard model and specifications for full support.

I’ve used that model before and two more versions, plus the premium one. The rest of the setup includes a Gigabyte Aorus B450m with Ryzen 5 2600X, 16GB GSKIL RAM, 3200MHz clock, and a 650W 80+ power supply.

Check the most recent BIOS for your motherboard here: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B45...rt-dl-bios
Find the latest chipset driver at: https://www.amd.com/en/support/chipsets/...t-am4/b450

I'm setting up the chipset driver now. I've refreshed my BIOS and performed an SFC scan. It seems the problem might be a Windows 10 compatibility issue. I just updated the chipset driver but haven't resolved it yet.
