I purchased an Anker 778 Thunderbolt 4 dock mainly to connect my laptop to my Sim Rig. Everything seemed to work after plugging in all the necessary ports and cables. However, I encountered problems when using the original cables with the monitor. Connecting HDMI directly into the laptop resolved the issue, but the screen would occasionally freeze for 5 to 10 seconds. Many users reported similar issues, and the only fix was lowering the refresh rate to 60Hz. Both my laptop and the G9 are set to 240Hz at 1440p. It seems there might be a limitation with native refresh rates. I’m hoping someone can help me get the dock functioning properly. I suspect the dock is capped at 4K at 60Hz, which would be acceptable if it worked. Ideally, I’d like a stable refresh rate of at least 120Hz or better, but everything else seems fine except for the display. I’ve tried reinstalling the graphics drivers and fixed other problems, yet this remains unresolved. At this point, I’m considering a Windows reinstall as a last resort before spending more money on a new device.
