It seems the current setup isn't working. A fresh Ubuntu installation might resolve the issue.

I've gone through it, there were no issues on Linux 16 but only on version 17.

Make sure to visit software & updates, adjust your sources for internet refreshes instead of CDROM, and then launch the downloaded .deb file.
