Problem with XMPP service.
Problem with XMPP service.
Hello everyone, my PC isn’t performing its best. With limited funds, I built what I thought was a solid setup. It works okay but I noticed XMP wasn’t set correctly. After buying two more RAM sticks, I tried again and it functioned normally, though it would freeze unexpectedly and restart. My CPU is Intel® Core i5-9600KF at 3.70GHz, paired with the GX 390 gaming motherboard, RTX 3090, and a 12GB OC Viper Gaming stick. The system runs at 3600 MHz (32GB total) on an A850GF 80 Plus Gold 850W power supply. I’m not sure what’s causing the freezing when XMP is enabled. I ran a full memory test with no issues, and updated the BIOS, but I’m still unsure how to proceed. Right now, I’m limiting RAM speed to around 2880 MHz (or similar). Any tips or advice would be really helpful.
3600 might be the issue since my 9900K handles 4x8 3200 smoothly. Would you consider using two sticks with XMP? You may need to adjust them to 3200 or test 3600.
i plan to use two sticks and test it out. i’m not sure how to arrange them properly, but i’m willing to figure it out. this is my first time with all this stuff—i can build a pc easily, but i’m not the most comfortable with these new tools. i’ll try pulling the sticks manually and see what happens. i also need to research how to set them up correctly.
I tested two sticks at 3200 and everything worked smoothly. Now I’m using four sticks at that speed. So far, loading has been fine with no problems. I’ll check for any crashes later. I set the BIOS to auto voltage and 3200 speed to see how it performs. Good luck!
