As title says, xmp doesnt work. Computer restarts like 3 times, then memory clock is set to default. XMP did work on 15f version. Got newest bios atm, doesnt work. My specs: gigabyte radeon 6600xt ryzen 5 5600x gigabyte b550 gaming x DDR4 32GB (2x16GB) TridentZ RGB 4400MHz CL19 XMP2 rm 650x there is spd info in attachment Can you help me solve this problem? If you have any optimal manual clocks to my ram, i would be greateful. Best regards, Marcin

You're right about the limitations of AM4. It's unlikely it can handle 4400MHz, and setting 3600CL16 would be a reasonable choice.

I’m really skeptical about getting a good result from RAM with XMP enabled on that specific CPU. It seems like a huge waste of both money and time, especially since the extra performance won’t be noticeable. It probably won’t even install properly.

If you need confirmation the boot works, I can set up old BIOS versions and display the clock from Windows, though it doesn’t fix the issue. For optimal clocks and frequencies, a 3600 Hz is acceptable, but I understand you prefer a solution without manual work.

The 4400 on AM4 setup is manageable with a solid motherboard, reaching speeds above 4800 without major problems. The challenge lies in the 1:1:1 configuration, which delivers strong performance. If you're aiming for higher speeds, adjust it to 1:1:1 mode by aligning UCLK with MEMCLK and setting FCLK to half the memory data rate. Begin increasing speed from there (around 3800–4000MT/s) and fine-tune timings to 18-22-22-42. Note that AMD systems, especially newer revisions, can have inconsistent memory overclocking capabilities. On X570 boards, BIOS updates sometimes prevent CL14 from working on certain kits, making it possible for desynched memory to fail.

Started at 3800 atm, using auto mode. Testing values 18-22-22-42. Need guidance on placement. Let me know if you'd like further assistance. Edited February 5, 2024 by ivannPowah

Ensure you adjust manually to 1:1:1 mode, or else performance will drop noticeably. The values listed are provided in the standard sequence tCL-tRCD-tRP-tRAS. In the usual timing control part, input each one sequentially, keeping tRCDRD and tRCDWR identical (you can use 8 for a minor stability boost, but stick to 22 unless specified).

Is this a basic kit? The Trfc 312 looks affordable for the 3800. Check the burner screenshot to confirm; it seems the issue isn’t just the motherboard settings but possibly the RAM configuration (2133-2666). If that’s accurate, the 4400 speed is definitely out of the ordinary. Even with a dual-boot setup, running smoothly on such a kit would be challenging due to the stress on the IMCC. To confirm, try setting up a 16-16-16-36 Trfc 280 with 1.5V and see if it boots. If it does, it’s likely a problem. Once verified, look up an OC profile online—it’ll save you a lot of trial and error. Just keep in mind that some kits, like Samsung devices, might need minor tweaks (like adjusting timings or VDIMM) to work well, especially if they’re older models. Otherwise, it probably has a solid OC profile available for quick fixes.

The initial image shared indicates a Hynix 16GB storage device. The T.RFC refers to JEDEC 2133 standards, which aligns with Gigabyte's BIOS timing interpretation.
