I recently experienced a 2700x CPU failure and replaced it today. After installation, my B450M Pro4 ASRock motherboard still blocked me from using XMP to boost my RAM speed to 3200MHz, even though that was the setting on my old 2700x. I’m now running G.Skill Ripjaws V C16 2 x 8GB RAM. I attempted resetting to defaults, adjusting XMP per stick, and updating the BIOS, but I’m unsure what to do next. Any advice would be invaluable. (The RAM sticks are in A2 & B2 slots.)

The only option is to adjust speeds, timing, and voltages directly. If it fails, proceed with a return.

When you mention it won't let you set the XMP profile, do you mean the configuration doesn't apply or that it won't display correctly when enabled? If it fails to apply, follow these steps: reset your BIOS completely, power off the PSU, remove the CMOS battery or use the BIOS reset jumper, then reinsert the battery or jumper and restart. If issues persist, consider updating your BIOS to version 3.1 from the provided link. In the worst case, reach out to the manufacturer for support and explore an RMA replacement if needed.

I adjusted it to XMP, but the RAM speed remains at 2133MHz. I tried all previous steps, but updating the BIOS to version 3.1 might help.

the information from their website indicates an XMP update following BIOS version 1.2, but the accompanying notes are minimal.
