It seems the product isn't a Windows 7 Pro Retail or OEM license anymore. End users won't be able to activate it. You should buy a new license from a seller that still offers Windows 7 Home or Pro (Retail or OEM), or switch to a Windows 10 Home/Pro key since Windows 7 support has ended.

No, Windows 10 activation keys are not valid on 7. They are specific to Windows 10 versions.

Yes? Those appear to be Windows 10 activation codes. I think Microsoft could still permit Windows 10 activation with a Windows 7 retail key, but it's possible they no longer support free upgrades, so results might differ.

I really can't handle that number. Windows 7 isn't supported anymore. Windows 8/8.1 are just too much. I’m probably going to need to get a retail Pro key to proceed.

But as we attempted to clarify, Windows 7 is no longer viable. No further assistance or updates are available. It seems Microsoft no longer provides updates via the Windows Update system. All support appears to have ended. I believe no one should rely on Windows 7 outside certain conditions. Anyone using it online must exercise extreme caution. There are vulnerabilities that Microsoft has never fixed. I doubt the typical user will purchase a Windows 7 machine when there’s no longer any help for it.

Windows 7 is outdated. 10 isn't compatible. Linux isn't a clear choice for most people. The options left are 8 and 8.1, both of which aren't ideal but better than nothing. I'll go with 8.1.
