You're experiencing issues with Windows Media Sharing not functioning on your TP Link Archer C54 despite being connected via Ethernet. The problem seems to stem from the access point configuration or compatibility settings. It might help to verify that the correct drivers are installed, ensure the network settings allow sharing, and check for any firmware updates for the Archer C54. Also, confirm that the WLAN feature is not accidentally enabled on the black router.

Are all APs set to bridge mode? Can you send a ping from the affected device while it's connected to the faulty AP?

A configuration error is likely on the black unit. Would you like to know the reason for having two APs in close proximity?

The black model supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz throughout the house, which is what I use. The white version is reserved for testing and operates only on 2.4GHz.

It seems SMB Sharing functions through the black access point, but Windows media sharing is not working.

The only information available suggests a possible server-side installation issue.
