Problem with Windows 11 Bluetooth connecting to Bose NC 700
Problem with Windows 11 Bluetooth connecting to Bose NC 700
I don’t understand why my headphones won’t connect to my pc. The pc doesn’t recognize them and vice versa. They function properly with other bluetooth devices, but they don’t work together. I’ve used a USB Bluetooth dongle before, but it appears as "bluetooth radio" in the pc’s device list and doesn’t detect my headphones at all. I’ve updated drivers, cleared device lists, and even tried with an older Windows 10 PC, but nothing changes. It seems these two devices don’t mesh well. Also, the dongle worked on my previous PC, but not on this new one. I’m not sure if that matters. I should probably skip the dongle altogether. My MOBO has built-in Bluetooth and works with other devices, yet it still can’t recognize my headphones. Anyone have any advice?
There is one included with the motherboard, intended for attachment on the back of the board. The top of Miscellaneous above mentions this. Yes, it indicates compatibility with WIFI, though BT uses the same antenna. The chip on the motherboard that supports Wi-Fi also handles Bluetooth, using the same broadcasting method. The manual does not reference attaching it to connectors on the back. Page 2-30 provides guidance for extending range and improving headphone connectivity.
what motherboard do you have?

ROG Maximus Z790 Hero lacks an antenna. For additional details, I experimented with it shortly after posting this, turning on "advanced" in Bluetooth discovery. The headset briefly showed up for about five minutes (after restarting the PC), then disappeared entirely. It failed to connect and never reappeared as a connection option.

Ah, I apologize. Yes, it did come with those, but I thought they were specifically for WIFI, and I have a wired connection so I didn't attach them. I will absolutely try them and see if that helps. I appreciate the suggestion! That never even crossed my mind.
I'll try that and get back.
IT WORKED!!! THANK YOU!!! I never thought it would. I was skeptical, but it actually did. THANK YOU!!!
