Is this a laptop? I remember when I upgraded mine to Windoz 10, it didn’t like installing with just the battery. I had to connect it to a power brick for a steady power source. Not sure if everyone has the same issue or if it’s just me. After the installation finished, everything worked fine again using the battery. Hope this clears things up.

It's a desktop. I should have mentioned that, okay. Got it.

Windows must be capable of forming the partition according to its own preferred method during the installation setup process.

Windows fails to start on the separate machine even after connecting the SSD. The system remains stuck displaying the Windows 7 logo without progress.

They say turning off all storage devices except the one you're installing Windows on and the flash drive can resolve some issues. Also, unplug everything except the power cord, the flash drive, and the monitor cable from your computer. Just don’t ask why—Windows is weird. EDIT: also remember to keep your keyboard handy.

Only a monitor, mouse, SSD, and flash drive were connected; keyboard was unusable. Identical outcome.
