I'm on the phone due to this situation, sorry about the grammar and formatting. 2 days ago my PC froze unexpectedly, so I turned it off and started again. After rebooting, my computer kept restarting endlessly. I tried holding the power button and waited a while. When I came back, I saw a message saying Windows was corrupted on my drive and needed repair. I downloaded a Windows 10 copy from the media creator and attempted to fix it, but it stopped halfway. I tried reinstalling Windows from there, but it asked me to format the drive. I didn’t mind that much, so I did it. Now my main issue is that Windows won’t install at all—either it gets stuck at a low percentage or crashes after some progress. I removed the SSD and tried installing Windows on a different drive, which worked fine. But I’m still confused: did my SSD fail or was there something obvious I missed?

Do you need the complete details? What is the age of the drive you're referring to?

Review your progress. 1.5 years old. Same outcome after trying it again.

Avoid selecting "red" and note that green isn't a clickable link. Consider using Diskpart's "clean all" command to reset the drive.

The bootable installer may require formatting and reinstallation. Make sure it has enough space—at least 8GB, even though they suggest 4. Also, format the HDD you plan to use for Windows 10. Otherwise, this seems like a typical Windows 10 issue.

I accessed the list for SHGPNN using the Windows installer option.

I used DiskPart to format the drive and verified the correct size. I think I'm ready to proceed with the SSD.

Consider using DiskPart to wipe the storage device. Most of my older drives needed this step before Windows could be installed.

Use diskpart to remove partitions, clean the drive, and format it as you did with the USB stick.
