Problem with Windows 10? Need help troubleshooting or understanding issues?
Hello everyone, I recently assembled a custom gaming PC costing around $2000. My friend suggested installing Windows 10 beta on my SSD for the operating system during setup. The main issue is that I can't upgrade to the full version since I never had Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 installed before. I'm looking for advice on how to proceed. Since I don’t have an optical drive, I’m hoping there’s a method to download it directly to my SSD. Also, I’d prefer not to pirate the complete version, but I know that might be the only alternative without buying the physical copy. Thanks in advance and have a great day!
Microsoft is implementing strong anti-piracy features in Windows 10. Monitoring and tracking are already in place, but they’ve shifted activation data to the server side. I’m not sure if a reliable crack exists for Windows 10. I won’t go into details unless you’re certain about it, as most cracks seem to include malicious software. Your choices are:
- Continue using the beta version to test updates before release.
- Upgrade to an older version (7, 8 or 8.1) and then switch to Windows 10. The old activation key still applies. No key exists for upgrading to Windows 10 directly.
- Purchase the media and license for Windows 10. This is the simplest but most costly path. Once installed, you can’t revert to an older OS later.
MS offers a free tool to create USB installation media, which works for both upgrades or clean installs. Find it at http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-.../windows10
