It's not mandatory, but I'd like to. You're free to do whatever you wish.

Wow, it's surprising how quickly everything seems fixed! After using RTM for a while, I haven't noticed any issues left in Windows.

I'm having trouble deciding which programs to install since I already set everything up the way I want.

It looks like a sensible approach to let it sit for a few days before major announcements. From the tech preview discussions, everything seems stable. Most peripheral drivers are already ready, and I’ll probably check the forums soon, though I’m unlikely to wait much longer. The main concerns—such as driver conflicts similar to Windows Vista—seem to point toward more noticeable technical adjustments rather than subtle changes under the hood since versions 8.1 or 7.

I’m not sure about the new taskbar, so I’m sticking with the classic shell instead.

Try the updated taskbar and start menu links first.

I've been using Windows 10 Insider Preview for a while now, and I find the new taskbar to be a better choice than the Windows 8.1 desktop menu.

Sure thing! Just need to grab the Windows 10 Preview disc and install it on your PC now. July 29 is coming up, so you can decide later.

I’m glad I gathered all my personal files into one folder, making it easy to move them to my external drive during the clean installation.
