I've been working for about 16 hours and it's not helping. I've tried forcing the installation, but it keeps crashing with "Something went wrong." The Windows 10 installer from the site is just failing. Can someone help me figure out what's going wrong and how to get it right?

It seems like the installation isn't working for you, and it might not be just a technical issue on your end.

Have you explored the media creation tool? If not, download it and install Windows 10 via this method. When you open it, choose "Upgrade this PC now" to begin the installation. In my experience, I didn’t need a product key and Windows 10 activated automatically after setup. Pick the option to preserve all your files and settings so everything transfers smoothly.

I'm holding off on installation until the winter season arrives.

Attempted it and it simply indicates an error, shutting everything down. It's frustrating seeing me and others wait so long only for Windows 10 to appear, only for the internet to find a workaround that doesn't help anyone.

Have you attempted to run it as an administrator? That was the only method that resolved my upgrade problems to Windows 10.
