You've just assembled a PC and need a WiFi adapter. When you connect it in Windows, it doesn't appear and can't connect to the network. It might be related to the BIOS settings. Your motherboard model is B350 PC Mate msi. Please check the adapter connection and ensure it's powered on correctly.

No known BIOS settings should trigger this problem unless USB ports are completely disabled. If any functionality remains in those ports, it likely points to a defective WiFi adapter.

It might still show up as an unknown device in the device manager, even without installing the drivers.

They likely missed it. Generally, folks assume things will function automatically now. @MrCool127 usually uses the included drivers or downloads from the manufacturer's site.

I use Ubuntu and Windows 10 on my PC. Ubuntu works well, but switching back to Windows requires disconnecting and reconnecting the Wi-Fi card. Windows 10 can be tricky with Wi-Fi adapters—I've tried three different ones. Is yours a TP-Link wireless N adapter?
