I struggle with gaming and watching videos on my second monitor, as the video stutters and quality drops. Even when I set everything to low, it still has issues. The problem appears when the game isn’t in focus, but the video works fine otherwise. This happens with streaming over Discord too, where viewers notice lag. I can’t play anything smoothly on my second monitor during games, and this affects all the games I try.

Have you experimented with maintaining the same refresh rate on the second monitor? Also, have you considered disabling hardware acceleration in Google Chrome? My previous comment was accidentally removed.

I also tried the hardware acceleration option on Google, but just switching to VSync resolved the issue. I'll update.

You might consider testing 240hz and reducing it to 144hz to determine if that improves the situation!

Vsync might have resolved the issue. I switch it on and off, and the video on my second screen changes right away. I'm trying to test Discord now, but it doesn't show up at all.
🤔
Even after turning it back off, I might need to restart.

PSU details: make, model, wattage, age, condition (original to build, new, refurbished, used).
Usage history: heavy gaming and/or video activities?
