Hi there, your USB Wi-Fi adapter was functioning well before, but now it's not working consistently during online gaming. The connection seems to drop and reconnect repeatedly, causing lag. You've checked different ports and updated drivers, but the issue persists. It's been happening for about a week, and you're still unsure what to do next.

Is there a CD included? If so, reinstall the driver and disable automatic updates in Windows. If the issue continues, obtain a fresh one—it’s affordable. Remember, the saying “Real man user RJ45” still works for me, even though I’m a woman.

I've tried more than five adapters but none worked well—many overheated and even melted during games. One even smelled bad. I recommend getting one from ASUS for around $80 to $120.

It wasn't certain what quality the adapter would deliver.

I check the current site https://www.asus.com/ca-en/Networking/USBAC56. I plan to purchase the more expensive model but couldn’t locate it at the Canada Computers store link https://www.asus.com/ca-en/Networking/USB-AC68. Both models include a mount so you can position your antenna toward your Wi-Fi.

I suggest a PCIe card, as they generally perform better than alternatives. Alternatively, consider powerline or MOCA adapters.

Avoid PCI Express cards—they’re not stable. My setup had weak signal, so a USB adapter would work better and keep everything secure.
