I've set up an entirely new USB drive, but it's still not functioning. I've tried it three times using various tools to confirm, so I believe it's a fresh installation. It comes with a brand-new motherboard, CPU, RAM, and a brand-new boot drive.

the previous 'install' function was essentially a legacy bootable USB with Unraid installed on it. we're not referring to Windows here; Unraid relies on a license file stored on the USB linked to the device's serial number. even if the number doesn't match, it will still start, though you won't be able to access the array. I'm considering using legacy mode once more now. It seems newer Intel processors don't support it when paired with integrated graphics. The old hardware never had Windows, and this new gear likely won't either unless it's repurposed later. So far, only one CPU has been used on this brand-new motherboard—the i5-13500. My previous chip wouldn't fit in the socket at all.

I've completed the renaming and other changes as discussed in my initial post. The only remaining task was to disable USB 2.0/3, though it seems to be attempting to boot anyway. The security boot complaints suggest it might not be the main problem.

Corrected it! All storage devices were removed, including the HBA card. Had to take out every component except the CPU and RAM. Once that was done, I disabled secure boot and it worked fine. Gigabyte recommended this approach.

Faced the same issue when switching to new hardware with Proxmox, repeatedly encountering "Invalid signature detected." Restarting turned on Secure Boot each time. Deleting all SATA and M.2 drives allowed permanent disabling of Secure Boot and resolved the problem. Thanks a lot!! @mike16889
