Hi everyone, I own an HP ProLiant N40L micro server that’s mainly for storing media like films. I use it to watch content on TV, PC, phone, and tablet. Initially, I ran WHS 2011, but after upgrading hardware and OS, I switched to TrueNAS Core. It worked great for six months until I lost access after a fresh OS install—so I had to reinstall everything again. Now it sits idle behind the TV. Have others faced this problem? Any tips on fixing it? Your help would be really appreciated, Ben.

Did you connect a display and check the activity there after losing access?

Hi, thank you for the update. Yes, I was unresponsive before and after restarting. The system didn’t show any boot device when I powered it back up. TrueNAS was installed on a brand new SSD to eliminate drive issues.

Are these storage devices malfunctioning? Which types of drives are we talking about?
