Problem with the x570 Ace Meg chipset fan not working.
Hi everyone, after assembling my PC the chipset fan isn't working properly. I verified the connections and pins, even disconnected and reconnected it to the motherboard without fixing anything. When I cut power from the PSU, the fan starts spinning briefly during boot but then stops completely. In BIOS it doesn’t recognize the fan at all. I have the newest M.2 drivers and still can't solve this. Any tips would be super helpful!
It didn't reach the required temperature, so the fan wasn't needed. It should turn when you input a lot of data, like running benchmark tests on the chipset.
I ran some benchmarks and pushed my desktop. It didn’t spin at all. The BIOS also says it’s at 0 RPM and it’s disconnected.
Don’t hesitate to ask for more tips—just let me know what you need!
Unhappy to keep repeating, but I've updated the BIOS and it doesn't seem to work. Is this normal?
I encountered the same issue before, you can enable it in BIOS by adjusting the fan speed. Navigate to fan settings, select the chipset, and on the left side where it mentions 'select mode,' pick manual. Then set up your custom fan curve by dragging the blue dots.
