Last night my dogs tugged on my Ethernet cable, causing my PC to fall onto the hard floor near the back panel. Afterward, it wouldn’t boot properly—though power was still reaching it, only displaying a solid yellow light from the motherboard. I removed the GPU RAM and tried different slots, but it still wouldn’t start unless I plugged in an SSD SATA cable, which worked. Now it hangs the yellow light on for about a minute before attempting to boot again. I’m unsure if the issue is with the RAM or something else. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I removed the battery and it started working fine, but the problem reappears when I attempt to use an XMP profile for my RAM.

Swap the RAM or try one stick at a time to check if the profile returns.

It looks like the RAM port on the motherboard is no longer working. I have an extra set, but it won’t even start when connected to the fourth slot.

The two distinct RAM configurations appear to prevent XMP from functioning, which is great—just keep the PC powered on and won’t start up when the feature is activated.

The 4th RAM channel is considered problematic. It seems this CPU model uses an LGA design without specific pins. You might want to take it out and check the socket for bent "golden fingers." Your 6950X had a flaky channel due to poor socket connections.
