Problem with the new PC setup.
i7 13700k with ASUS Z790 Prime Wi-Fi and G.Skill Ripjaws S5 32GB kit DDR5-6000 SSD, Gigabyte 4070 Aero 980 Pro SSD, Windows 11 MSI Mag 1000W PCIe 5.0 ATX 3.0 80Gold PC boots into BIOS. After saving and restarting, it powers down and stays blank as if never loading BIOS or Windows. Pressing power button forces shutdown; turning it back on, pressing F1 loads setup, but BSOD appears repeatedly with memory management BSOD. Issue persists after BIOS update and before Windows installation. Power LED flashes rapidly. Possible faulty motherboard. Also tried before Windows was installed and before BIOS update.
MCE is off and the problem appears resolved. Issue with Left XMP remains.
MCE can become wasteful if you don't manage your system properly. It often delivers too much voltage. With Intel Fail Safe it stays within the intended specifications, while Auto OC handles most configuration tasks automatically. If you aim for stock performance, disable Auto OC and configure your power limits accordingly—pl1, pl2, and tau—but take time to understand these settings if you're not already familiar.
