Whenever I begin a game, or have been playing for about ten minutes, my monitor goes black and the fans spin very loudly. I thought maybe the CPU was overheating, but it didn’t make sense because it could crash either when the PC just started up or after it had been running longer. I’m really not in the mood to fix anything further, so I’d appreciate any suggestions on what might be wrong before I consider selling the device.

Execute a utility HW Monitor in the background while running and playing a game. Observe the temperatures of CPU, GPU, individual cores, and other metrics under game load. Check if the fans for both CPU and GPU are spinning at full speed or only one of them. Cheers

In truth, I followed your advice and downloaded HWMonitor, but I’m not sure which values are problematic. Can you find a way to get a report of your temperatures and loads to share here? Also, I’m not sure which fans are making that loud exhaust sound.

In fact, after repeating it once more, I think the GPU fans are responsible for most of the noise. But this might not be accurate.
