Problem with the new computer not functioning properly.
Hello, I recently purchased a prebuilt system from Build Redux and it’s not functioning properly. After unpacking the PC and inspecting everything, I connected my peripherals, powered it up, but it displayed a black screen. The motherboard showed a white VGA indicator light. I looked up troubleshooting steps, verified the GPU cables, tested HDMI and DP ports, switched to a different PCI-E slot, reinserted the GPU, RAM, and CPU—still no success. When I powered off and turned it back on, the RGB lighting on my keyboard activated, but the GPU itself remained unresponsive. It runs fans when plugged in, but otherwise nothing seems to work. I’m at a standstill and unsure whether the issue lies with the GPU or another component. Since I don’t have built-in graphics, I can’t confirm the display behavior. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! This is my first desktop build, and I’m reaching my knowledge limits.
When purchasing a brand-new pre-built item that doesn’t work, simply return it. It’s supposed to be functional, so no repairs are needed. Just send it back and receive a replacement free of charge.

I wouldn’t take that route. They might think you’re not skilled and shift responsibility to you for the damage. Just act confused, claim it doesn’t function and assert you didn’t interact with it.
If a person can handle everything listed, they’re capable of assembling their own PC. Swapping the GPU, RAM, and CPU isn’t too far out of reach, especially if rebuilding it is involved! It’s unrealistic to ask a buyer to manage all those tasks.
