I'm using an old Dell Optiplex 390 board from a used office PC. It's been a few years now, and I've upgraded my RAM to 16GB, added an 1060 6GB GPU, and installed a new case with RGB fans. The problem is, I'm unsure if my motherboard can handle any i5 CPUs from the 3rd or 4th generation. Anyone have suggestions on the right board to get a compatible i5 10400? Thanks!

I’d choose a B460 motherboard instead of the B450 ones. To verify compatibility, you can try pcpartpicker.com. Placing a CPU and motherboard together will usually highlight any conflicts. It might also help to pick the CPU first, as that often narrows down compatible options.
