Hello everyone! I’m setting up a new desktop and have a few questions about my mini ITX motherboard Gigabyte Aorus X570. Recently, I bought an Aorus NVME Gen 4 SSD with 1 GB capacity. I want to know if this SSD will work with my board. My motherboard has a copper shield and a small fan, which makes it a bit higher than the heatsink. If I remove the shield, what would happen? How should temperatures change under the fan when it’s taken off? I think it might behave like a standard SSD without the shield, but I’m not sure. Also, is there any risk to the warranty if I do this? Thank you and have a great holiday!

It's possible to use it, though the warranty will be affected.

Thanks for the feedback. It seems Aorus NVME can overheat without the copper heatsink, even though it has a small fan. I’m worried the SSD might get too warm, which could hurt its speed.

Sure, I understand. It will become warmer and slightly affect performance, but that's the only option available.
